I never shared the pictures of our vacation on the way home and decided that it was time to get us home. 😉
After we spent some time with the family during the Family Reunion, we headed home, again making stops along the way. Before we left Utah, we had to stop at Antelope Island and explore a bit. Mr. Bug and I both have memories from our past that we have shared with the girls and they were interested in going. Here are some pictures of the day:
The girls were having fun exploring. The beach is rather long, so the dark blue is the lake. In the middle of the blues are mountains and then it turns to sky.
Gathering treasures – can’t go anywhere without that experience!
On the way back to the car, we found this snake track. Yikes!
The brine shrimp and flies are so thick by the shore. You can actually see them part as the birds walk through the water eating. There is definitely a smell, too. Ewww!
In the middle of the island you can see the mountains. It is a neat place – there is even a bird rookery there. It was full summer (read HOT!) and we were in a hurry so we didn’t hike down to it.
Reminds me of my visits there. Expect I did hike and saw thousands of spiders and webs. Made me nervous. 🙂
