Books About Reading Great Books (Full of the Best Book Lists)

A Picture Perfect Childhood by Cay Gibson (read my review here) – this belongs in many categories as it has many recommended reading lists for many topics. It includes chapters on the importance of reading aloud and the many benefits of picture books.

Caught Up in a Story by Sarah Clarkson (read my review here) – this book is written by a former homeschool student who shares her experience of growing up with exposure and immersion in excellent literature. Includes some of her must-read recommendations.

Who Shall We Then Read? Volume 1 and 2 by Jan Bloom (read my review here) – this belongs in many categories as it contains history lists, science, literature, geography and more. It contains many complete lists of series such as the Landmark, Childhood of Famous Americans, and lists over 150 author’s works by age group and genre.
