There was a pretty dandelion

With lovely, fluffy hair,

That glistened in the sunshine

And in the summer air.

But oh! this pretty dandelion

Soon grew old and grey;

And, sad to tell! her charming hair

Blew many miles away.

We read this poem on Tuesday during school and I realized that we STILL have dandelions blooming in our yard even though we have had several very chilly and frosty mornings (about 28 degrees).  They are sturdy, cheerful little things. =)

And then I saw this Greg Olsen picture, and I fell in love.  Remember to savor those moments!

    What a lovely little post! I remember getting many dandelions from a loving little child – it certainly is a moment to cherish. I do believe that I am very fond of Greg Olsen’s more modern art — he has learned to fill them with light.
