A medicine cabinent on my door

That post title sounds weird.  But in my house, there are lots of people and limited storage – and lots of occupied bathroom time.

I used this over the door shoe holder from Walmart to store and hold things traditionally stored in the bathroom.  There are things like the band-aids, creams and medicine salves, extra toothpaste and brushes, lotions, earplugs, sunscreen, bug spray – anything that I didn’t have a particular place for but needed.

I hung it on the coat and  game closet door where it worked out very well.

Other things that this method would work for:

Barbies and clothes (or other toys)

Craft Supplies

Gardening Supplies

Hair and Make-up Supplies

What are some things you can think of to corral with this type of organizer?  Let me know!

I hung one by the door going outside in the winter. It corraled the gloves, hats, and scarves of five children very nicely. We had more than one pair apiece. When they would come in with wet gloves, the gloves would go by the woodstove until dry. The dry gloves were stored in the hanger and very handy right by the door. If they came in dry, right back into the hanger they went. Sure cut down on time looking for misplaced gloves!

The medicine on the door really made it easy for Grandma to find things easily. Didn’t have to go looking through cupboards or drawers (feeling like a snoop) looking for a band-aid or salve, etc.
